System Restore or "restorept.api"(extention of restore file) is a Windows XP feature that's simply restore your computer setting in previous date, restore process might uninstall third party applications, Users can manually restore your PC as a factory setting.
Follow given steps to Restore your PC:

Step 1. Click on "start" button or “Start Menu”.



Step 2. Select "All Programs".



Step 3. Then Chosse "Accessories".



Step 4. Then Select "System Tools".



Step 5. Next single click on "System Restore".



Step 6. A screen will be appear and then click on Radio button "Restore my computer to an earlier time”. like this :




Step 7 .Then a calendar will appear on your screen with "Calender", select a date that shown as bold number. Select one of them in given date that your computer was running properly and click on 'Next' button. Then your computer will restart and after few minutes complete Restore process.




Note: After Restoring your computer some third party installed applications might be remove from your computer.
